KAHCF ADVOCACY PROGRAM
The objective
of KAHCF’s public policy advocacy program is to educate legislators
and other policy makers about the day-to-day realities of long-term
care. The program’s goal is simple – to ensure that
when a legislator votes on an issue of interest to KAHCF’s
membership, they know first hand what the implications of that vote
will be for the nursing home providers in their communities.
As a member
of KAHCF, you are in a position to be not only an effective advocate
for your profession, but can also serve as a source of valuable
information for your legislators. Remember that it’s YOU who
are the long-term health care expert! No legislator knows as much
about your profession as you do – help them understand the
importance of your profession and the services you provide to one
of Kentucky’s most deserving populations.
