KDVA is looking for a Mission driven, self- motivated and energetic KY Veterans Center Administrator I to work in our Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the highest standards of care for our residents.
  • Ensure resident rights are protected.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid/Medicare, State and V.A. Regulations.
  • Maintain a Five Star Rating for the facility.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility for the facility.
  • Plan and coordinate ongoing facility physical and procedural improvements.

Provide strong leadership to staff, fostering a positive work experience. The ideal candidate will work independently, yet be part of a larger team to meet our commitment to serve Kentucky’s Veterans. 

The position of KY Veterans Center Administrator I for the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center is located in Radcliff, KY. It is a part of the Office of Kentucky Veterans Centers (OKVC), the branch of KDVA that provides long term care to veterans. The Joseph “Eddie” Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.  We are currently hiring a Dietitian Clinical to provide services to our veterans at our facility in Hanson, Kentucky.

The Dietitian Clinical position is responsible for performing nutritional assessments, planning and implementing therapeutic diets as prescribed by physician for residents to promote a great quality of life.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Providing therapeutic nutritional care
  • Reviewing resident meal patterns and documenting nutritional care plans
  • Performs in-service classes to train dietary employees

The candidate must be licensed as a dietitian by the Ky. Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists and must be registered as a dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center

  • NASR: The Nurse Aide State Registered I (CNA) is responsible for assisting our veterans with daily life functions, providing care, and engaging our veterans in a meaningful way as to promote a great quality of life. Performs other duties as required.

  • RN: Provides professional nursing services to patients in the Radcliff Veterans Center and may supervise Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurse or unlicensed assistive staff in the implementation of nursing policies and procedures; and performs other duties as required.

  • LPN: Under the direction of a Medical Director, Registered Nurse Advanced Practitioner or Registered Nurse, performs delegated duties in the care of residents to address physical and psycho-social activities of daily living for residents. Actively participates in rehabilitation programs to support care. Performs other duties as required.
