Comprehensive MDS 3.0 Training Program05/18/2010 - 8:00am 05/20/2010 - 4:00pm Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities Comprehensive MDS 3.0 Training Program 6 locations (2 in Louisville) The Minimum Data Set Version 3.0 (MDS 3.0) is scheduled for implementation by CMS for certified skilled nursing facilities across the nation on October 1, 2010. Because this version is drastically different than the MDS 2.0, facilities need to train their entire disciplinary team in order to assure that they are prepared. The MDS plays a huge roll in facility reimbursement, survey outcomes, and quality measures available to the public - you cannot afford not to be prepared. The programs have been scheduled early and often to allow facilities to send multiple staff to a variety of locations. Because of the complexities of the MDS 3.0, a comprehensive two and one-half day training program has been developed. Facilities should consider sending multiple staff to one of the first available training programs to be on the cutting edge of how to react and what proactive steps to take to stay on top of these new assessment changes. Top Reasons to Attend KAHCF's MDS 3.0 Training Instructor will be presenting the latest information received from CMS’s MDS 3.0 National Train-the-Trainer Conference April 13-15. Convenient locations scheduled over several months to allow your facility the flexibility to send multiple staff at reduced travel-related expenses. MDS 3.0 RAI User Manual included in registration fee for each individual. In addition to the essentials of coding, this 2 & 1/2 day comprehensive program will include detailed information on each section, how it will impact survey & reimbursement, and mastering the interview process.
