Comprehensive MDS 3.0 Training Program05/18/2010 - 8:00am 05/20/2010 - 5:00pm May 18, 19, 20th- Louisville, KY - two and one-half days of training time For planning purposes, KAHCF wants to make you aware that the association is in the process of planning KAHCF’s Comprehensive MDS 3.0 Training Program. Each program is scheduled for two and one-half days, with the half day including training on the RUG IV reimbursement as related to the MDS. The training will begin in May 2010 and is planned for five different dates and locations throughout Kentucky. The Minimum Data Set Version 3.0 is scheduled for implementation by CMS nationally October 1, 2010. Because this version is drastically different than the MDS 2.0, facilities need to train their entire disciplinary team in order to assure that they are prepared. Janine Lehman, RN, WCC, CLNC® the Director of Clinical Services for Wells Health Systems, Inc., will be providing the training. She is attending CMS’s MDS 3.0, Train-the-Trainer conference in Baltimore on April 13 through 16, 2010. Attendance at each of the training sites will be limited. The MDS 3.0 RAI User manual will be included in the registration fee for each individual. The following are the dates and locations for training: The Galt House Hotel & Suites June 8, 9, 10th- Bowling Green, KY Holiday Inn University Plaza Hotel & Sloan Convention Center July 6, 7, 8th- Lexington, KY Hilton Lexington Downtown July 13, 14, 15th- Northern, KY -two and half days of training-time and location to be confirmed. August 10, 11, 12th- Louisville, KY The Galt House Hotel & Suites August 24, 25, 26th- Paducah, KY -two and half days of training-time to be confirmed. KAHCF will send out further information on the registration fee, time, and locations, once they become available through email and at www.kahcf.org .
