Seminar Description

CMS has just released the new survey process that will go into effect November of this year. Cat will be covering many aspects of this new process, as well as documentation requirements as they relate to both social services and activities, in this basic training. Day 2 will specifically detail the numerous responsibilities of the Activities & Social Services departments as mandated in the new CMS Requirements of Participation (RoP). While not much has been said specifically about these two departments, upon close review of the mandates, it is apparent that Activity and Social Service Departments will experience much focus during upcoming surveys. We are already hearing of numerous deficiencies in care planning, programming, skills/competencies, and insufficient staff. Come and learn as Cat provides guidance on systemic facility process and survey focus, as well as compliance recommendations. Cat has a reputation for explaining difficult topics in an easily understood, “common-sense,” manner. We encourage you to reserve seating for your team.
